The story of a man who falls in love. His love is taken away and (due to other factors) he sets out to help seven lives. By the end of the movie he has fallen in love again and the tears start to flow (on both sides of the screen.)
The good?: The movie had an interesting plot/ story line and it was fun to watch how things unfolded. The sound track was also really good. Plus, Will Smith is a really good actor and in this film he did a good job at portraying the emotions of the character he was playing.
The Bad?: I missed the first ten minutes of the movie so I was a little lost during the film. The plot wasn’t something that was hard to pick up, I just felt like I wasn’t fully aware of everything. The characters were a little hard to read sometimes; they hardly ever did what I expected. Will’s expressions were often off the wall (in way that was good for his character) but it made understanding the characters thought process difficult.
The verdict?: If you don’t mind watching someone commit seven acts of kindness and then fall in love, go and rent this. Just know at the end of it, you might be crying, or at the very least have a lump in your throat. (Or maybe I’m just a pansy?)
